The Silent Stream Within

Roberta Cirocco, a student in this year’s Therapeutic Hand & Foot Reflexology Professional Certification, created a wonderful short slide presentation on the lymphatic system and reflexology. In it, she introduces us to fabulous live drawings of the lymphatic system that were created by the Khan Academy. Definitely worth a look!

In addition to allowing me to share her DIS project, Roberta plans to share this valuable information with nurses she works with at the Jacksonville, Florida Veterans Administration hospital.

Enjoy! Share! Drop a comment below, please.

I enjoyed this as I am a visual learner. Thank you , as we all need a refresher every so often.

While I was in reflexology school at the Nashville Academy of Reflexology, my project was to show how to perform MLD through the feet. I managed to do so and am now considering offering it as a modality in the ne NAR graduate spa opening next year. In school we were told there are no lymph nodes in the foot. The intro to lymph drainage course I took in 2012 at the world massage festival told me different, so I felt the need to teach my reflexology classmates about MLD reflexology. This is a great presentation by the student.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your learning curve, Kelly. Knowledge about the human body is always changing and expanding on what we knew in the past. It’s so important that we stay current. I think your idea to teach your classmates what you now know is such a good idea. Good luck with that.
