Here’s the List of Reflexes to Work for Weight Loss

In the post I published on Friday, February 10 regarding weight loss, I mentioned that, although there was no magical reflex point that could guarantee weight loss, there are points to work that will support and aid someone’s efforts to reach their ideal weight.

What it comes down to is determining what the main reason is for the weight problem. Below is a list of some imbalances that can result in weight issues, and the reflexes on which to focus your sessions:

– Hormone imbalance – endocrine glands;

– Digestion – stomach, small intestine, gallbladder, pancreas and small intestine;

– Elimination – large intestine;

– Stress (Stress is a big reason for weight gain and weight loss. People either reach for comfort foods to fill their bodies with good-feeling dopamine or stop eating.) – adrenal glands, the central nervous system, solar plexus and diaphragm;

– Motivation to move/exercise – adrenals and kidneys (The kidneys control our will and drive.);

– Physical pain – muscles involved;

– Chronic illness – lymph, liver, kidney and adrenals

– Depression- central nervous system and kidneys

Oh yes, and remember the water!

    Thanks Karen,

    As always your wisdom is evident in your words. I am working with a diabetic who is targeting his weight as an area to improve on, and this information will help me focus more on his needs. And water is so essential for cleansing and getting the body working optimally, plus it also can help curb hunger.

    Peace,
    John

    This was very informational. Since your last post about alkaline water, I have been drinking it ever since. I am now doing the Master cleanse detox too for 10 days. Every morning I do a salt water flush, then drink 6-12 cups of the lemonade mixture, then laxative tea at night.

    “Motivation to move/exercise – adrenals and kidneys (The kidneys control our will and drive.)”

    The part about the kidneys ruling our will and drive was surprising to me. I have never heard that before and I’m excited about it. What are other ways to take care of my kidneys? Dandelion greens and alkaline water I imagine.

    One of the best things you can do for your kidneys is to drink alkaline water and lemon first thing in the morning. Work your own kidney reflexes and keep them warm.
