PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Reflexology, an integrative health practice, maps a reflection of the body predominately on the feet, hands and outer ears. It uses unique manual techniques to deliver pressure to neural pathways assisting the body to function optimally.
Authentic reflexology is not a massage! Unlike massage therapy, which addresses areas of complaint by directly manipulating the tissue, reflexology works on the hands and feet to shift the nervous system into a parasympathetic state (the only state in which the body can heal itself) so as to relieve muscular tension and pain and help to restore internal system imbalances.
Cultures all over the world practice their own styles of reflexology. My practice is centered on the conventional western style developed by Eunice Ingham, and the form practiced as part of Traditional Thai Medicine. My work is slow and deliberate, and delivered at a depth so comfortable you may fall asleep! Certification in aromatherapy qualifies me to safely use high-quality essential oils within my sessions.
♥ Combined Hand and Foot Reflexology – It doesn’t get any better than this! Working on both the hands and feet has shown to exponentially increase the benefits of targeted sessions. Together, we will decide how to split the time, based on your preferences and your health needs. This ultimate experience of relaxation begins with a warm-water soak and exfoliation. 100 minutes. $110
♥ A deeply relaxing and profoundly healing foot Reflexology session that begins with a luxurious soak in warm water infused with pure botanical oils, followed by a gentle invigorating exfoliation. In addition to focusing on reducing stress & supporting the optimal functioning of the internal organs, this session can be customized to address plantar fasciosis and other chronic pain situations in the feet. Who knows, you may be walking on the solution to many of your problems! 70 minutes. $93
♥ Traditional Thai Reflexology is a session for the lower legs, knees and feet that marries elements of reflexology, Chinese Tuina massage, Japanese acupressure and Indian yoga. The sequence of movements offered in Traditional Thai Reflexology will both energize and relax you, creating an experience unlike any western form of bodywork. Thai reflexology was developed about 2000 years ago and is still taught today in the temples by Buddhist monks and as part of Traditional Thai Medicine, the country’s primary system of healthcare. It is a unique and effective method of improving circulation, relieving stress, stimulating lymphatic drainage and improving joint flexibility. Beginning with a warm foot soak, the session lasts 70 minutes. $93
Please note: wear long pants (or shorts) that can be rolled up to allow access to the knees.
♥When most people think of reflexology they think ‘feet’. In truth though, reflexology can also be offered by way of the hands, and in some instances is even more effective. A soothing hand Reflexology session is one of the safest and most nurturing sessions you can receive. In addition to the full-body benefits of reflexology, this session is a very practical one for people who use their hands a lot and/or experience discomfort in the hands and wrists. We will begin with a heated paraffin treatment to prepare the hands to benefit the most from a targeted reflexology session. 70 minutes. $93
I accept cash, local cheques and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Please call or email to discuss whether reflexology might be the answer you’ve been looking for. Or book online through Schedulicity, if you prefer. The address and driving directions to my clinic will be sent upon confirmation of your appointment.
